New company's debut original work is VR visual novel slated for October 5

Japanese developer Rockin Heart Games announced on Thursday that it is developing its first original game, titled Tear: Owari to Hajimari no Shizuku. The title is slated for the PlayStation 4 on October 5, and it will support the use of the PlayStation VR headset.

In the game, players use a device called "Tear" to be able to travel freely between reality and illusion, and will solve multiple incidents involving serial kidnappings, the paranormal, UFOs, science fiction, espionage, the military, and other mysteries. The game's story will eventually involve a battle with the beginning and end of the world at stake. The mystery revolves around the "Third Secret of Fatima."

The game will allow players to view the story from the point of view of multiple protagonists using a "multi-sight system" that will require players to solve complex mysteries to reveal the trick behind the plot.

The game will use the PlayStation VR headset, as well as the PlayStation Camera, but can also be played with a controller.

Rockin Heart Games was founded in November in the Hōnan neighborhood of Tokyo's Suginami Ward.
