How to install a privacy screen

Today I'll show you how to build a privacy screen for your yard and other locations. All you need to do to install a privacy screen is adhere to the directions provided below.

Step 1

You can choose the dimensions and placement of your screen. Place the plastic panels and end posts next to one another. The external edges of the end panels must be flush with the end posts. Drill 500mm-deep holes at each end position using a post hole digger.

Step 2

One end of one post should fit into one of the end holes. Secure the post leveller to the post, making ensuring the bubbles are evenly spaced between the lines on both sides. If so, both directions of the post are straight. While someone else holds the post in place, pour water and concrete into the hole and mix as instructed on the package. After one final plumb check, the area is left to dry. represent the polar opposite of the spectrum.

Step 3

The width of the panel, in this example 1205mm, should be painted beginning at the outside of one end post. This will be covered in the article that follows. The width of each panel should then be determined for the remaining post centres. Drill 500mm-deep holes at each of these locations.

Step 4

The stringline connecting the top and bottom end posts is tightly wound. At each end, insert a 10mm packer between the post and the stringlines. Use the remaining posts to fill in the empty spots. Using a packer as a measuring tool, the remaining posts should be spaced 10mm apart from the top and bottom stringlines. (This gap prevents one of the posts from crossing the line and moving the screen.) Make sure the posts are plumb before pouring the concrete and letting it to dry as directed in Step 2.

Step 5

To fit between the top and bottom posts, the rails must be cut. Check to see if the top rails are parallel to the post tops. Measure the length of the panel's posts to determine where the bottom rails are located. Rails can be skewered into place using a nail gun. The railings and the pillars both require painting. Permit natural drying to occur.

Step 6

Beginning at the ground level of one end post, gauge the panel's height and make a note of it (in this case, 2450mm). Transfer this level to all further posts, and if required, use a power saw to remove the tops of the posts at these locations.

Step 7

Clamping one panel to one end post will ensure that it is flush on all sides. Posts and rails should be covered with countersunk and screwed panels. Rep for the remaining panels, making sure they're all in the right places.
