Synopsis
In Tokyo, an unchanging despair is lurking. Mysterious man-eating beings, ghouls, run rampant in Tokyo. Living hidden during everyday life, the existence of ghouls, whose true identities are shrouded in mystery, permanently terrorizes Tokyo's residents. News Tokyo Ghoul:re Manga Gets TV Anime in 2018
Natsuki Hanae returns to star in new series Marvelous opened a website on Thursday to announce that Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul:re manga is getting television anime adaptation that will debut in 2018. Natsuki Hanae returns to star in the series as Ken Kaneki. The website will reveal the anime's staff at a later date. Ishida serialized the 14-volume Tokyo Ghoul manga in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine from 2011 to 2014, and launched Tokyo Ghoul:re in October 2014 in the same magazine. Shueisha published the 12th volume on July 19, and will publish the 13th volume on October 19. Viz Media has licensed the Tokyo Ghoul:re sequel series, and it plans to release the manga starting on October 17. Soul Buster's Odahiro Watanabe directs at Pierrot, with Atsuko Nakajima as character designer This year's 49th issue of Weekly Young Jump magazine is revealing the main staff for the television anime adaptation of Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul:re manga on Thursday. Odahiro Watanabe (Soul Buster, assistant director on Super Lovers 2, Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid) is replacing Shuhei Morita as director for the anime at Pierrot. Pierrot+ is credited for animation production assistance. Chūji Mikasano is returning from the first two Tokyo Ghoul anime to provide series composition and write the scripts. Atsuko Nakajima (Ranma ½, You're Under Arrest, Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto) is replacing Kazuhiro Miwa as character designer. The anime will debut in 2018.
