A good shoujo romance is one that can make the audience members swoon.

To do so, they try to be extremely cheesy and adorable as possible, making the strongest of people go “Aww!”

The following shoujo scenes just do about that. These romantic moments make viewers love the feeling of being in love.

1. KAICHOU WA MAID-SAMA “I’M GOING TO JUMP TO MY DEATH.”

This is one of my favorite moments in Kaichou wa Maid-sama because it is the part where Takumi Usui confesses his feelings for Misaki Ayuzawa right before he jumps off a building in order to retrieve Misaka’s photo that contains her maid cafe secret.

Let’s be real. we don’t think it is a worthy exchange to risk your life just to save a measly picture.

However, this scene applies the concept of “we’ll risk my life to protect you” but in an extreme and cheesy situation.

2. KAMISAMA HAJIMEMASHITA  “MOONLIGHT ROMANCE”

While watching Kamisama Hajimemashita, we was anticipating the moment when Tomoe and Nanami will kiss because they look so cute together.

And in this scene, the atmosphere was perfect. There’s something enchanting and mysterious about viewing the moon together.

3. ORE MONOGATARI “MY SECRET FEELINGS FOR YOU”

Okay, every single moment of this show is adorable. we can’t just pick one. But if we have to, wewould say Takeo Gōda and Rinko Yamato’s monologs where they secretly contemplate about their feelings for each other.

We mean, Rinko likes Goda so much that she is already thinking of “indecent” thoughts about him. Look at her, she stole a kiss. 

4. SAY I LOVE YOU “JUST DO IT.”

we had issues with the characterization of both, Mei Tachibana and Yamato Kurosawa.

Mei’s timid nature annoyed me, but when she finally took the initiative to kiss Yamato,we squealed.

5. AO HARU RIDE  “WHEN YOU LOOK ME IN THE EYES”

Ao Haru Ride is a popular series for anime fans. As a shoujo anime, Ao Haru Ride has some of the best face to face moments like this one.

6. ŌKAMI SHŌJO TO KURO ŌJI  “MR. STEAL BACK YO’ GIRL”

After treating her so badly and causing her to leave him, Kyouya Sata realizes how much Erika Shinohara means to him.

So he does the ultimate move of “stealing” the girl back from another man.

Life Lesson: If you like someone, treat them with respect because there will be a day when he or she won’t stand your games anymore.

7. KIMI NI TODOKE  “5 SECONDS”

In this scene, Shota Kazehaya didn’t kiss Sawako Kuronuma but with those five grueling seconds, something could have happened.

8. SPECIAL A  “AN UNEXPECTED KISS”

Special A has some of the best, unexpected surprise kiss scenes.

The fun part is that Hikari Hanazono and Kei Takishima have this rivalry going on, so every flirtatious teasing act gets both of them all flustered.

9. LA CORDA D’ ORO  “A SWEET MELODY”

When you make sweet, sweet music with someone, magic happens.

We personally like their “Ave Maria” rendition as well as the fact they are in this Romeo & Juliet remake scene.

10. AKAGAMI NO SHIRAYUKIHIME “FAIRYTALES DO COME TRUE”

As of now, we think Akagami no Shirayukihime is on everyone’s radar.we admit they are a cute couple and they have good chemistry.

A fairytale story every girl dreams for (but in reality, it doesn’t happen).
