Spider-Man: Homecoming: The First Ten Minutes Released Online

Marvel Studios and Sony are celebrating the continued success of their first collaboration, Spider-Man: Homecoming, by releasing the film’s first ten minutes online for free, ahead of the movie’s arrival on home video.

The opening footage of the film shows the origins of the villain, Vulture, played by Michael Keaton. Not only that, but it gives viewers a chance to see what Peter Parker’s perspective of his Germany trip, which later sees him face-off against a handful of Avengers in Captain America: Civil War.

Just yesterday it was announced that Spider-Man: Homecoming had overtaken Wonder Woman in the worldwide box office, making it the biggest superhero movie of 2017 so far. The first solo movie focusing on Tom Holland’s web-slinger has brought in $874 million to date, leaving it just $20 million behind the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever, the critically maligned Spider-Man 3.

Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently in theaters and stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man and Michael Keaton as Vulture. The film also features Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. The film is scheduled to arrive on Blu-ray and DVD Oct. 17, and via Digital Download Sept. 26.
