Kidani to focus on developing content for company behind Milky Holmes, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Future Card Buddyfight

Bushiroad announced on its official website on Monday that the company's founder and representative director Takaaki Kidani will step down from the representative director position at a stockholder's meeting on October 20, and will take a position as board member of the company. The announcement stated that he is stepping down from the position so he can directly lead and manage the production of content better in the company's next three or four years, which the company calls a "decisive" period. Kidani will be focused on and be directly responsible for developing the company's intellectual property.

Kidani founded Bushiroad in 2007. The company owns a number of cross-media franchises, a number of which originate from its card games. Its Cardfight!! Vanguard and Future Card Buddyfight series have both inspired long-running television anime series, and its Luck & Logic card game inspired two television anime series. It also owns the Weiß Schwarz anime crossover card game. The company owns the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes franchise, as well as the BanG Dream! franchise, both of which have television anime series. It recently announced its new Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight franchise earlier this year, with plans for both a musical and a television anime.
