News Project ARMS Writer Launches New Manga This Winter
Writer works with new artist Teppei Sugiyama on new detective manga

This year's 46th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is revealing on Wednesday that writer Kyoichi Nanatsuki and artist Teppei Sugiyama will launch a new manga temporarily titled Tantei Nemo to Nanatsu no Satsujin Misshitsu (Detective Nemo and the Seven Secret Murder Rooms) this winter in the magazine.

Nanatsuki (Project ARMS) and illustrator Kyung-Il Yang (Blade of the Phantom Master, Defense Devil) launched their Area D - Inōryōiki manga (pictured at right) in 2012, and ended the series in January 2016. Shogakukan published the 14th and final volume in February 2016.

Nanatsuki published the Project ARMS manga with artist Ryoji Minagawa in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1997 to 2002. Viz Media released the 22-volume manga in English in 2003-2009.

The manga inspired a 26-episode television anime series in 2001, and a 26-episode sequel series titled Project ARMS: The 2nd Chapter aired in 2001-2002. Viz Media released the first season on DVD in 2002-2004, and released the second season on DVD in 2004-2005. Discotek Media relicensed both anime seasons earlier this year, and plans to release them on DVD with Japanese audio and English subtitles and an English dub.
