The December issue of Kodansha's Shonen Magazine Edge revealed on November 17 that Yukichi Sasame's Mashiro-kun: Sewa Yaki-kei Danshi no Nichijō (Mashiro-kun: The Everyday Life of a Helpful Guy) manga will get an "important announcement" in the magazine's next issue on December 16.

The comedy manga centers on Mashiro, a high school boy who wants nothing more than to be helpful to others and improve everyone's lives, but sometimes he might be too helpful.

Sasame launched the manga in Shonen Magazine Edge in November 2016. Kodansha will publish the manga's first compiled book volume on December 15. Sasame also releases chapters of the manga on pixiv with the title Mashiro-kun wa Sewa o Yakitai! (Mashiro-kun Wants to be Helpful!).
