Robert Kirkman has made his next creator-owned comic book series official — and this time, he’s taking on the sci-fi genre alongside artist Lorenzo De Felici, in Image Comics and Skybound’s Oblivion Song. Oblivion Song is scheduled to debut in March and stars an agent named Nathan Cole, who retrieves people who have been left behind in an alternate dimension named Oblivion. According to Skybound, it falls tonally somewhere between Kirkman’s famous creations The Walking Dead and Invincible, with The Walking Dead representing the more bleak and depressing end of the spectrum, and Invincible being more fun and hopeful (at times, at least).
