Manga based on Kanata Yanagino's light novel series launches on September 25 Overlap Bunko announced on August 25 that Mutsumi Okuhashi is launching a manga adaptation of Kanata Yanagino's The Faraway Paladin (Saihate no Paladin) light novel seriers. The manga will launch on Overlap's Comic Gardo web manga site on September 25, and will publish chapters monthly. Okuhashi drew a preview visual for the manga. Overlap Bunko also previewed the cover art spread by Kususaga Rin for the original novel series' upcoming fourth volume. J-Novel Club is publishing Yanagino's original novel in English, and began releasing chapters last November. Legendary comic book creator Walt Simonson will return to the adventures of The Mighty Thor for the character’s upcoming back-to-basics revival as part of the Marvel Legacy publishing initiative. Simonson will pencil a story in Thor #700, due to hit stores on Wednesday, October 18. Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Axel Alonso shared a glimpse of Simonson’s contribution to the issue in a post to Twitter, revealing a page of Simonson’s pencils from his story. Longtime Mighty Thor scribe Jason Aaron echoed the announcement in a subsequent tweet, confirming that he’s writing the story that Simonson is drawing. Seirei-sama no Nangi na Nichijō debuts on October 28 The November issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine revealed on Thursday that manga creator Cotoji will launch a new manga titled Seirei-sama no Nangi na Nichijō (The Hard Everyday Life of a Spirit) in the magazine's next issue on October 28. The manga will run for three consecutive issues, and will have a color opening page for the first chapter. Cotoji (No-Rin: Petit) launched the Anne-Happy manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in December 2012, and Houbunsha shipped the manga's seventh compiled book volume on February 10. Yen Press publishes the manga, and it shipped the manga's sixth volume on August 22. The manga inspired a television anime adaptation in April 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
