Fans encouraged to bring light sticks, cheer on Aqours members at one-day screening Azoland Pictures announced on Wednesday that it will screen the "Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours 2nd LoveLive! HAPPY PARTY TRAIN TOUR" concert in theaters across the United States on October 14. The one-day event will screen the concert of Love Live! Sunshine!!'s Aqours group that is scheduled for September 30 at the MetLife Dome in Saitama prefecture. Theater listings and tickets are now available on Azoland Pictures' website. Some theaters will also sell merchandise. Azoland Pictures will reveal more information at a later date. The event will feature a "cheering style screening" where attendees can bring light sticks and cheer on Aqours members during the screening. Several U.S. theaters also screened the "Aqours First LoveLive! ~Step! ZERO to ONE~" concert on March 4 and 5. Naoko Yamada and Kyoto Animation's A Silent Voice anime film opened in China last Friday and earned 32 million yuan (500 million yen or about US$4.95 million) in its opening weekend. The film opened in 3,000 theaters in China, and singer Leah Dou also provided her new "See You Again" song as an insert song for the Chinese version of the film. The film opened in Japan in September 2016. Eleven Arts will screen the film in United States theaters starting on October 20. The company previously screened the film at Anime Expo in July. Naoko Yamada and Kyoto Animation's anime film is based on Yoshitoki Ōima's manga of the same name. Anime Limited screened the film in the United Kingdom and Ireland in March. Viz Media Europe acquired the rights to distribute the film in the European Union, Russia, Turkey, and French-speaking African countries. English-subtitled teaser trailer streamed Funimation Films announced on Monday that its U.S. theatrical release of Tokyo Ghoul is slated for October 16-22. Theater locations are listed on Funimation's website. Funimation also began streaming an English-subtitled teaser trailer. The film premiered on July 3 at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, July 7 in Berlin, and July 10 at the Marunouchi Piccadilly theater in Chiyoda, Japan before its wide theatrical release in Japan on July 29. The film ranked #5 in its opening weekend in Japan. The film will get 4DX screenings in Japan. A long-time employee at Bandai Namco Entertainment, Yosuke Tomizawa is best known as the producer for the God Eater franchise. The God Eater games feature co-op multiplayer monster hunting within a story-focused experience. He is currently working on a new game, Code:Vein, which applies a similar aesthetic to a different genre, a Dark Souls-style coupling of environmental exploration and challenging real-time combat.
