The episode shows his exile from Stroheim Castle by his half-brother Wolfgang Krauser (also a Fatal Fury antagonist), his training with Jeff Bogard and Tung Fu Rue, his betrayal of the Hakkyokuseiken school, and his eventual murder of Jeff Bogard as the prelude to his rise to power within South Town. The dangerous power of Orochi has been sealed and protected by the Kusanagi and two other families since ancient times. The episode then returns to Yuri, who meets the bartender King and helps the shinobi Mai Shiranui fend off thugs in London. The three decide to enter the King of Fighters tournament, forming the classic Women Fighters Team (though named the Queen Team here). Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, K', Ash, Shun'ei characters listed The January issue of Kodansha's Shonen Sirius magazine announced on Saturday that SNK's The King of Fighters game franchise will get a new manga on Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app on January 1. Kyōtarō Azuma is drawing manga, titled The King of Fighters ~A New Beginning~. The teaser image mentions the characters Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, K', Ash, and Shun'ei. SNK released The King of Fighters XIV, the latest installment in the franchise, for PlayStation 4 in August 2016. SNK then released the game for PC via Steam in June. The franchise is inspiring a Chinese CG-animated adaptation. The series will have 24 episodes, and is streaming on SNK's YouTube channel in Japanese with English subtitles. The 17th episode began streaming on Thursday. When SNK announced the animated adaptation last year, it also announced a live-action adaptation.
