New film opens March, May J. performs theme song The official website for Ultraman Geed (pronounced "Jeed"), Tsuburaya Productions' new Ultraman series, revealed on Thursday that the series will get a film titled Gekijōban Ultraman Geed - Tsunagu ze! Negai!! (Ultraman Geed the Movie - Connect the Wishes!). The film opens in Japan on March 10. The film's setting is Okinawa, and Yuika Motokariya will have a guest role in the film as the character Airu Higa, a tour guide that is knowledgeable about Okinawa customs and traditions. In truth, Airu is a Kushian who originates from the past, and will fight with Ultraman Geed to defend earth. May J. is performing the film's theme song. The series premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on July 8, and it will have 25 episodes. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan.
